The DGLFFL Dog Tags are free for active, registered and waitlisted players for the Spring 2012 Season including Spring Referees. Additional Dog Tags can be purchased for $15. They will be distributed at the DGLFFL Pep Rally @ The Beach Club (1485 S. Colorado Blvd. Suite 140, Denver, CO 80222) on May 18, 2012 & at The DGLFFL Closing Ceremony @ Charlie's Denver on May 20, 2012. So far we have 2 venues who will acknowledge your DGLFFL Dog Tag - R&R Lounge and Xbar. We expect there to be many other businesses partnering with the Dog Tag, look to this page for updated news and added specials.
A few weeks have passed since the last UTC update and the standings have been shaken up a bit. It's no surprise that the new leader is Moves Like Jagger; the team that has been painting nearly every DGLFFL event the color Maroon. It's steady and consistent attendance rate seems to be the secret to it's success, along with filling in for other teams so they could compete in flip-cup matches and maybe even bustin' a move on the sidelines to Maroon 5's Moves Like Jagger.
AquaForce & You're in Trouble teamed up to defeat Randy Moss & Blue Your Mind in the Flip-Cup Tournament Championship at the Compound Beer Bust on April 15; surging both teams ahead by a combined six spots.
With a couple of stuffed sheep standing around on the sidelines, fans wearing hats that read: "Black Sheep Football" and homemade shirts in support of their favorite Sheep, the Black team had the third-best gain in points over the past few weeks.
Other teams with big gains made banners with their team pride written all over them in a "battle of the banners" between Out, Proud and Purple and the Steel Magnolias, during a week 5 division showdown.
It will be interesting to see who makes up ground and comes out on top at the end of the season!!
The Spring 2012 DGLFFL Playoffs have begun. 16 teams are in the hunt and only 1 can take away the crown. The playoff tournament is single-elimination (1 loss and your out) and has a total of 5 Rounds. Championship Sunday - May 20, 2012 is when the DGLFFL Title will be battled for; all other teams will be playing in a bowl game.
